2. What does 1.5 Teslas mean? 1.5 Teslas refers to the intensity of the magnetic field used in the equipment. A Tesla is a measure of the strength of the magnetic field. MRI machines in hospitals and clinics are typically in the 1.5 to 3 Tesla range. A magnetic field of 1.5 Tesla provides high quality images.
3. Siemens Aera Siemens is a leading medical technology company. Their "Aera" model is one of the most renowned 1.5 Tesla MRIs, known for its high performance, open design and excellent image quality.
4. Obstetric Use: Magnetic Resonance in obstetrics is a valuable tool for detailed evaluation of the fetus and uterus. Although theultrasound is the primary method for fetal monitoring, MRI provides complementary vision, especially in cases where a clearer or more detailed image is required:
Fetal Anomalies: MRI can accurately identify and characterize fetal malformations, especially those in the brain, spine, or large organs.
Placenta: It allows the position and structure of the placenta to be evaluated, identifying conditions such as placenta previa or placental accreta.
Amniotic fluid: It helps in evaluating the amount of amniotic fluid and can identify conditions such as polyhydramnios or oligohydramnios.
Maternal Evaluation: It can detect conditions affecting the mother, such as uterine fibroids, which could have implications for pregnancy.
It is important to highlight that the Magnetic Resonator (Magnetic Resonance) does not use radiation,which makes it safe for the fetus and the mother. However, its use must be justified and carried out only when necessary to obtain information that cannot be obtained throughultrasound.

Cancellation and Refund Procedure
- Advance Payment : All our services require advance payment to confirm the radiological study appointment.
- Cancellation by the Patient : If you cannot attend the scheduled appointment, it is essential to notify Unirad as much in advance as possible. To start the cancellation or rescheduling process, please contact the email: unadreportes@gmail.com .
- Non-Attendance : In situations where the patient does not attend their appointment without prior notice, Unirad reserves the right to withhold the payment made. However, we understand that unexpected situations may arise, so we encourage our patients to contact us to evaluate each case individually.
- Request for Multiple Studies : In the event that a patient requires two or more studies and decides to cancel, 50% of the total cost will be withheld as compensation for the reserved resources and spaces.
- Refund Process : For those cases that are eligible for refund, Unirad will process the refund of the corresponding amount through the same payment method originally used. The estimated time for the refund may vary depending on the payment method.
